FILMFORUM and BiG Festivalowski are calling for entries to the 3rd International Short Film Competition SHORT Festivalowski. We’re on the hunt for the funniest short comedies worldwide. Think your film stands out? Submit it and compete for awards. Deadline: May 16, 2026.
BiG Festivalowski—the funniest weekend of the year—is an annual celebration of feel-good creativity and positive art. Comedy takes center stage here in every possible form: from film, through stand-up and improvisation, to a bathrobe fashion show and even a Meme Museum. All of it unfolds over three August days in the unique atmosphere of Płock.

Rules, submission form and key dates
- Films must not exceed 40 minutes in length.
- Submitted films must be no more than 2 years old at the time of submission.
- Films cannot be submitted by members of the selection committee, the jury, or the organizers.
Films can be submitted via the official form or on the FilmFreeway platform after reviewing the competition regulations. Deadline: May 16, 2026.
Our selection committee will choose the films for the festival lineup. The shortlisted titles will then be reviewed by a distinguished jury, who will award the best short comedy of the year along with additional prizes and special mentions. The official selection will be announced by July 20, 2026.
The 5th edition of BiG Festivalowski will take place on August 14–16, 2026, in Płock.
