Applications are now open for WAMA Script Academy, an international mentoring programme for emerging filmmakers seeking to develop the skills needed to navigate international film markets. Bringing together participants from Poland, France and Malta, the programme will take place in Olsztyn from 29 August to 6 September 2026 as part of the 13th WAMA Film Festival.
WAMA Script Academy is designed for students and graduates of film and art schools who already have some experience in developing or producing film projects. The initiative strengthens participants’ skills in project development, production, promotion and distribution, preparing them to work effectively within the international film industry.

More than a mentoring programme
Participation in WAMA Script Academy also includes full access to the programme of the 13th WAMA Film Festival. Participant accreditation grants access to festival screenings, filmmaker Q&A sessions and accompanying events.
This is a unique opportunity to discover outstanding films presented at international festivals, keep up with the latest trends in global cinema and connect with professionals shaping today’s film industry.

- Complete the application form by 17 August 2026:
- write a short motivation letter in English;
- submit an English-language logline and treatment for your proposed narrative film project.
