Polish-Ukrainian Film Workshops

location:
Olsztyn

next edition:
2020

The Polish-Ukrainian Film Workshops are a professional film education program set in Olsztyn, famous for the historical coexistence of national minorities. The project creates conditions for Polish and Ukrainian youth to look at the cultural diversity gathered in a small space and, through a closer understanding of it, shapes attitudes of understanding and respect for mutual differences.

As part of the project, there is a series of workshops and practical exercises in individual film fields (script, direction, production organization, production, editing) as well as meetings and lectures aimed at familiarizing participants with the specificity of a neighbor’s country, local history and the region’s culture.
