FREEDOM Film Festival was established in 2022 on the basis of a film event with a long-standing tradition, organised in Radom since 2008. Initially – as an international section of the KAMERALNE LATO National Filmmeetings, then – as a fully independent event, it combines the format of the festival aimed at the international film community with the concept of an open event addressed to a wide audience.

The festival’s formula is centred around the idea of freedom, understood not only in the artistic dimension, but also in the personal, social, cultural, national and geopolitical terms.

FREEDOM Film Festival presents cinema that reminds us of the essence of freedom and inspires us to understand not only the reality closest to us, but also to take a deeper look at geopolitics and social mechanisms on a global scale.

The mission of the festival is to create a space for unrestricted discussion about freedom and to promote its idea. That’s why people with different views and social sensitivities are invited to discussions, debates and meetings accompanying the film screenings.
