FREEDOM Film Festival originated in 2022 on the basis of a film event with a well-established tradition, organized in Radom since 2008. Originally as an international secion of the National Film Meetings KAMERALNE LATO, now as a fully independent event, it combines the specialized form of a festival aimed at the international film community with the concept of an open event addressed to a wide audience.

The formula of the festival is centered around the idea of freedom, understood not only in artistic terms, but also in personal, cultural, national and geopolitical dimensions. The FREEDOM Film Festival presents cinema that reminds us of the essence of freedom and inspires us to understand not only the reality closest to us, but also to take a deeper look at geopolitics and social mechanisms on a global scale.

The mission of the festival is to create a space for unfettered conversation about freedom and to promote the idea of freedom. People with a wide variety of views and social sensitivities are invited to discussions, debates and meetings accompanying film screenings.

COMPETITION SECTION

The FREEDOM Film Festival includes two short film reviews of a competitive nature – the International Short Film Competition, where the winning title is warded the Platinum Archer. Creators of works presented in the National Short Film Competition, on the other hand, have a chance to win the Golden Archer and be nominated for the prestigious Jan Machulski Awards.
