Prof Marcin Adamczak

Film expert, film critic, publicist. He lectures at the Institute of Cultural Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, at the Polish National Film School in Łódź and at the University of Gdańsk. In 2016-2018 Director of CINEMAFORUM – International Short Film Forum in Warsaw. Scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science (2010 and 2011). Winner of the competition Krzysztof Mętrak for young film critics (2011). Author of the books “Global Hollywood, film Europe and Polish cinema after 1989” (2010) and “Beside the screen. The perspective of production research and the social existence of film” (2014). He published, among others in “Odra”, “Kwartalnik Filmowy”, “Panoptikum”, “EKRANY”, “Cinema”, “Magazyn Filmowy SFP” and in several collective volumes. In 2019, he received the honorary badge of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Meritorious for Polish Culture”.
