
The educational section is an essential part of the CINEMAFORUM festival. The 23rd edition was accompanied by numerous workshops, lectures, and expert debates. For those who could not participate in person, these events were published online as part of “The FILMFORUM Group – Digital Film Festivals” project.
The first edition of “The FILMFORUM Group – Digital Film Festivals” project has come to an end. This innovative endeavor was realized by the FILMFORUM Association and its aim was to support digital transformation in the creative industry and popularize green filmmaking. Within the project, a number of events were organized and a space was created for discussion of current themes, and valuable material was made available online.
Green Filmmaking and Digital Production
One of the key components of the project was a debate, workshops and lectures regarding green film production and the digitization of the creative industry. These events aimed at raising the participants’ skills and preparing young filmmakers and culture managers for challenges regarding new technologies.
Artificial Intelligence in Green Film Production
The series of meetings was inaugurated by a lecture by Marek Pawlikowski, who introduced the participants to the basics of artificial intelligence and its potential application.
Professional Development of Young Culture Managers and Digital Transformation
One of the workshops conducted within this project was a meeting related to the challenges presented by digital transformation to young culture managers. It was moderated by Jarosław Basaj, Michał Grosiak and Marta Karnkowska.
Debate: Digital Transformation in Culture. Will It Take Our Jobs?
This was a debate about the possibilities and risks brought by the development of artificial intelligence. The participants were: Piotr Dylewski (film director), Łukasz Gierek (educator), Dr Krzysztof Karnkowski (sociologist, publicist), Marek Pawlikowski (multimedia creator), Daniel Sołtysiński (film writer), Matt Subieta (director, AI creator), Ewa Maria Szczepanowska (new media expert), and Dr Anna Wróblewska (publicist, audiovisual market researcher). It was moderated by Łukasz Adamski.
11th MASTERCLASS – Filmmaking School Meetings Available Online
Thanks to “Digital Film Festivals”, not only the project-adjacent events were published online, but also other educational endeavors of the 23rd edition of CINEMAFORUM. Because of this, the YouTube channel of the FILMFORUM Association features the recordings of all five meetings with notable filmmakers who participated in the 11th edition of the MASTERCLASS – School of Filmmaking, co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw.
