The call for entries for the short film competitions of the 3rd FREEDOM Film Festival has been launched. We are waiting for Polish and foreign productions oscillating around the broadly understood theme of freedom until April 30, 2024.
FREEDOM Film Festival takes its first fully independent steps! No longer as a part of the KAMERALNE LATO, but as a completely separate film event – it starts on July 10, 2024 in Radom to present young, truly free cinema to the local audience, and to invite young filmmakers from different parts of the world to discuss, debate, share the cinematic experience and improve their professional skills.
If you want to be among them and share your works with the participants of the 3rd FREEDOM Film Festival, spending 3 summer days of July with us in the southern Mazovia, you are in the right place at the right time. We have just opened the call for entries for the 3rd FFF competitions.
COMPETITIONS OF THE 3RD FREEDOM FILM FESTIVAL
The 3rd edition of the FREEDOM Film Festival will feature two competitions open to the public:
- International Short Film Competition, allowing short films (up to 40 minutes) of all forms and genres to participate;
- National Short Film Competition, allowing short films (up to 40 minutes) of all forms and genres to participate, produced in Poland and created by a Polish producer or co-producer.
What about the themes of the films? However, the Qualification Committee of the national and international competitions – Marta Karnkowska and Anna Andriushchenko, together with the festival’s artistic director Łukasz Adamski – emphasize that their choices are guided not only by the quality of the submitted films, but also by their approach to the theme of freedom.
– The premise of the festival, and therefore of the competitions held as part of it, is to nurture and promote the idea of freedom in its various aspects – says Łukasz Adamski. – As the selection team, we focus on films that touch on this subject, while giving filmmakers full artistic freedom in terms of the form, type, genre and content of their works – he adds.
3RD FREEDOM FILM FESTIVAL – HOW TO SUBMIT A FILM?
To submit your film, please read the Rules and Regulations of the FREEDOM Film Festival and fill out the entry form below:
Each filmmaker may submit any number of films to the competitions, but one film may be submitted only to the one competition (selected in the application form).
The call for entries is open until April 30, 2024. Detailed information on formal requirements and the application procedures can be found in the regulations. The list of the films that got qualified for the competitions will be announced by June 10, 2024.
