Marta Karnkowska

Producer of cultural events. In 2005-2010 the editor-in-chief of the FILMFORUM.PL website. Organizer of numerous festivals, screenings and film workshops. In the years 2002-2012 the artistic director of CINEMAFORUM – International Short Film Forum, in the years 2007-2008 the artistic coordinator of the European Young Cinema Festival. She organized the International Film Festival “Allowed to 21” (1996-2005), the UNICA World Independent Cinema Festival (2003), the SKOFFKA Young Cinema Festival (2005-2006) and the Warsaw Independent Cinema Festival (1997-2001). She cooperated in the implementation and promotion of many events promoting young Polish cinema in Poland and in the world. In 2005-2016 she was a member of the Organizing Committee, and since 2020 she has been the Curator of the Award of Jan Machulski. A graduate of the University of Warsaw (major: scientific information) and the Television Production Study of the National Center for Culture. She makes music videos and concert documentation. Since 2012, she has been organizing shows of independent music videos as part of the CINEMAFORUM festival. In the years 2003-2015 she was a member of the board of the FILMFORUM Association, in 2015 she became the vice-president, and in 2016 – the chairman of the Audit Committee. In 2019, she received the honorary badge of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Meritorious for Polish Culture”.
