INTERFILMLAB 8.0 and the international youth exchange in Radom are now behind us!

The Radom edition of INTERFILMLAB 8.0 and the accompanying international youth exchange have come to an end!
For seven days, young filmmakers teamed up with industry professionals to explore European film markets, gain hands-on knowledge, and build new connections.

This year’s edition of the KAMERALNE LATO Film Festival in Radom, launched on July 7, offered not only a rich artistic program, but also a range of workshops tailored to aspiring filmmakers at various levels. Among the key educational components were INTERFILMLAB 8.0 and its accompanying international youth exchange. During their time together, young participants from France, Norway, Malta, and Poland had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of European film industries, expand their networks, and develop practical skills under the guidance of seasoned experts.

Inspiring workshops and lectures

Over the course of several days, young creators participated in numerous specialized lectures discussing the specifics of the film market in various European countries, as well as key topics related to co-productions and networking. Among the subjects covered were film festivals and international project financing opportunities. The young creators also had the chance to attend open industry meetings with esteemed experts such as Kamil Przełęcki, a long-time collaborator of Andrzej Wajda, and Jerzy Rados, Deputy Director of the Gdynia Film School.

The pitching session and international presentations

The final highlight of INTERFILMLAB 8.0 and the youth exchange was the presentation of projects about European film markets. Experts such as Michał Hudzikowski (Poland), Joyce Grech (Malta), Eivind Nordengen (Norway), and Walid Bekhti (France) supervised the creation process throughout the week. On the final day of the joint activities, the young filmmakers had the opportunity to present their original film projects to esteemed industry professionals.
