Jarosław Basaj

He is a trainer in polish educational programs and realizes his own projects. He has been working as a teacher, educator and trainer since 1999. He is engaged in film education. He makes documentaries, animated and live-action films with students. He is the initiator of journalism workshops, which he organizes and conducts periodically since 2004 during the International Gombrowicz Festivals. As the leader of the School Filmotheque in the Mazovia, he conducts film workshops for teachers and students, including stop-motion animation. In 2015, he was honored with the Polish Film Institute’s Award in Film Education. He is an animator in the Mazovian Cultural Education Program and the author of lesson plans available on the Legalna Kultura and Edukacja Filmowa websites. He trains teachers, students and parents on safe use of the Internet as part of the “Asy Internetu” programs Szkoła z Klasą and Google Foundation and “Cybernauci” of the Nowoczesna Polska Foundation. Conducts lectures in cinemas and film workshops as part of the “KinoSzkoła” Interdisciplinary Media Education Program. He works with the Centrum Edukacji Obywatelskiej, where he implements the “Film Educational Lessons” project of the Generator Foundation. He completed the postgraduate course StART! for teachers at the Warsaw Film School. He cooperates with Ogólnopolskie Stowarzyszenie Kadry Kierowniczej Oświaty and conducts workshops for educational boards and school principals. He is a Polish teacher. Since 1999, he has worked at the Zespoł Szkół Budowlanych in Radom.
