This year’s Masovian “ABC WORKING WITH THE CAMERA” workshops took place from July 2nd to 8th in Radom. Young film enthusiasts had the opportunity not only to experience working on a film set but also to participate in engaging workshops, debates and film screenings.
Teenagers who participated in the project had the chance to meet actress Małgorzata Potocka, take part in a debate on mental health and complete a series of practical film exercises. The result of these creative activities was the writing and production of two social advertisements concerning addiction prevention, including alcohol addiction.
Both short films present the stories of young people who find themselves unable to break free from addiction. We encourage you to take a look at these films!
Dramat (Drama)
“Dramat” (Drama) is a film about a young actor struggling with depression and alcohol addiction. We are introduced to him in a locker room scene, revealing the scars on his arms, followed by a look at his stage performance. The film ends with an unexpected twist involving a mistake.
Detoks (Detox)
Laura is an alcohol addict. The only person trying to help her is her older sister. One day, Laura goes on a date, hoping it will be the turning point in her struggle with addiction.
